Terms

Terms of use

These terms apply when you use Kederi: the site, the playground, the console and the API.

Kederi is in early access. If you use it, you agree to these terms.

What the service is

An API that takes a bank transaction descriptor and returns structured data.

A merchant or counterparty, a category, an intent, a country and currency, a recurring flag, a confidence score, and a trace of how it decided.

What is not promised

Enrichment is a best-effort interpretation of free text, and it is sometimes wrong.

Every answer carries a confidence score and a low flag. Treat a low-confidence answer as a suggestion rather than a fact.

An accuracy figure we give you is measured on our own test set. It does not predict accuracy on your data.

Nothing returned is financial, legal or compliance advice. If you use enrichment output in a decision that affects somebody, that decision and its consequences remain yours.

Your data stays yours

You keep every right in the transactions you send.

We do not sell them, and we do not use one customer's data to answer another customer's request. Corrections submitted through the feedback endpoint improve the shared directory, which is the one deliberate exception and is opt-in by the act of submitting one.

What is stored, and for how long, is on the privacy page.

Acceptable use

Do not send data you have no right to send.

Do not use the API to build a profile of a person for a purpose they have not agreed to. Do not attempt to extract the directory wholesale: it is the product, and bulk extraction is not a use of it.

The playground is for a person who tries Kederi in a browser. Do not call it from code, do not put it behind your own product, and do not use it in place of an API key. A key is free with an account. We may block an address that uses the playground in any of these ways.

Availability and limits

Requests are limited per key, and the free tier per account.

Each key has a limit per minute. Each account has a free allowance of 5,000 enrichments a month, which all of its keys and the console share. An answer to a call with an API key carries what is left, in RateLimit-Remaining and kederi-quota-remaining, so you can see a limit before you reach it.

During early access there is no uptime commitment.

Changes

The path carries a version.

Breaking changes to a documented endpoint get a new one; additive fields do not. When these terms change, we date the new version on this page.
